After the No.1-seed Arizona Wildcats suffered a gut-wrenching, devastating and stunning loss to No.2-seed Wisconsin in overtime 64-63 in the West Regional final in Anaheim on Saturday evening, Arizona fans and students at the Tuscon, Arizona campus promptly rioted.
According to the Daily Wildcat, the student paper, that prompted police to shoot tear gas at the crowd of students and fire beanbags. Officers also reportedly beat a crowd member. Students threw smoke bombs and also threw beer, sparklers at police.
