Arizona Students Take Selfies During Riot

While Arizona students rioted on the Tuscon campus after the No.1-seeded Wildcats lost a heartbreaking Elite Eight game to the Wisconsin Badgers Saturday evening in Anaheim, a photographer caught some students taking selfies at the scene.

Photographer Alex Brown told the New York Daily News that “those pictures sum up the night” because there “wasn’t anything nefarious” going on until police started ordering the college kids out with riot gear.

The situation quickly escalated, as 15 people were eventually arrested after students threw sparklers and beer at police officers while officers fired tear gas and beanbags at the students.
