Larry Elder to Hank Aaron: 'Name Names' of Bigots

Conservative talk radio show host Larry Elder challenged Hank Aaron to name names after he accused Republicans who opposed President Barack Obama of being the equivalent of the racists who sent him death threats while he was chasing Babe Ruth’s home run record.

On the 40th anniversary of his 715th home run, Aaron said of Republicans who oppose Obama, “The bigger difference is that back then they had hoods. Now they have neckties and starched shirts.”

Elder also mentioned that Democrats supported the KKK during Aaron’s time. Many have criticized Aaron for not acknowledging that the late Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV), who was a former Grand Dragon in the KKK, was one of the most prominent liberal leaders until his passing.
