Snow Out: Wintry Weather Cancels Twins-Blue Jays

A hefty bag of a stadium sounds nice this time of year to Minnesota Twins fans.

Snow and freezing temperatures hit Target Field on Wednesday. The hockey weather caused the postponement of today’s baseball game. Even the heated turf couldn’t keep Mother Nature at bay. The Twins and Blue Jays look to make up the missed contest in a day-night doubleheader on Thursday.

The mercury currently reaches freezing but figures to drop below that thermometer Mendoza line later this afternoon. The 80 percent chance of snow seen for tonight means a zero percent chance of baseball enjoying a delayed start today. The Weather Channel forecasts several inches of snow for tonight. Tomorrow’s forecast calls for a high of 42 and a low of 26.

In the Metrodome, if the locals hadn’t taken the wrecking ball to it, the temperature would stand at a climate-controlled 68.
