President's Former 'Body Man': Sterling Punishment Appropriate

Reggie Love, the president’s former “body man,” called the NBA’s ban on Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling “appropriate” in comments made to The Hill. Sterling told a girlfriend that she shouldn’t post pictures of herself with African Americans online or sit with them at his team’s games.

“Sports in our country has done such a great job for sort of breaking down racial barriers,” Love explained. Before serving as the president’s personal aide, Love competed in both football and basketball at Duke. He played on the school’s 2001 national champion basketball team and unsuccessfully made a run at the NFL after college.

“I think [NBA commissioner Adam Silver] delivered the right message,” Love told The Hill, “and hopefully the owners will vote accordingly.”
