First Lady Michelle Obama has retired President Barack Obama’s infamous mom jeans. And they will not be immortalized in Cooperstown.
That’s what President Barack Obama told an audience at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown on Thursday.
“At the Hall’s request, I contributed something of my own, which was the jacket I wore when I threw out the first pitch at the 2009 All-Star Game,” Obama said, according to pool reports. “I hear that with all the media attention about it, there was also some interest in the jeans I wore that night. But Michelle retired those jeans quite a while back.”
Obama became the first sitting U.S. president to visit Cooperstown.
