MLS Player Gets Yellow Card for Taking Selfie with Fans After Scoring Goal

On Sunday afternoon, a Major League Soccer player received a yellow card for celebrating a goal by taking a selfie photo with fans.

Sporting Kansas City forward Dom Dwyer scored in the 33rd minute against the Chicago Fire and promptly “celebrated by running to the home fans, receiving his phone from a photographer and taking a selfie.”

The referee promptly gave him a yellow card for excessive celebration.
