Brady and Gazelle, Immortalized on Canvas

Brady and Gazelle, Immortalized on Canvas

Tom Brady’s New England Patriots take on the Washington Redskins tonight in the preseason opener. Earlier this week, at a Washington and New England joint practice, a fan in Redskins country presented Brady his artistic take on him.

Depicting wife Gisele as a gazelle and the quarterback adorned in a tuxedo standing on a football field, “The Heart of a Champion” stems from the talents of Richmond-area artist Jeromyah Jones.

“It symbolizes his wife, Gisele, and the graceful nature that she possesses,” Jones told For the Win. “The red carpet that bridges the gap between their two professions, the modeling world and the sports world. I didn’t just want to show him in the uniform. I wanted to show the loves of his life, football and his wife.”

Brady, apparently, didn’t love the painting enough to buy it right then and there. He gave the work his signature. He didn’t give its author his money.
