Tracker: 66 NFL Concussions So Far in Preseason

When Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker suffered a concussion in a preseason game, which caused Peyton Manning to lose it and get his first taunting penalty by getting in the face of and cursing D.J. Swearinger, it was the 61st concussion in the preseason.

A Twitter account, @ConcussionWatch, has been tracking concussions, and it has documented five more since Welker’s for a total of 66 so far this preseason.

Here is the breakdown per team as of August 24:

A federal judge recently approved a settlement between the NFL and former players who are having physical difficulties due to concussions. A good analysis can be read here.
