Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers attended the Wisconsin Badgers-Arizona Wildcats NCAA Tournament game on Saturday to cheer on the Badgers. After the game, Rodgers found his way on the court as the Badgers cut down the nets.
CBSSports.com’s senior college football columnist Dennis Dodd took to Twitter to complain about Rodgers after he declined to partake in any interviews:
Aaron Rodgers in one of the biggest moments in the state’s history — ignoring how media has shaped his image — “I’m not doing interviews”
— Dennis Dodd (@dennisdoddcbs) March 29, 2015
Rodgers later responded to Dodd’s tweets, telling him to take it up with Wisconsin’s athletic director and that he attended the Wisconsin game to watch basketball, not to do interviews.
Also with interview requests, sometimes the answer is yes and sometimes it’s no. I’m not there for u, I’m there to support my friends n UW. — Aaron Rodgers (@AaronRodgers12) March 29, 2015
