Tom Brady pulled a Bill Belichick at his weekly press conference when a journalist asked him about Donald Trump.

“Tom, you have kids of your own,” a reporter noted Wednesday. “How would you respond if your kids heard Donald Trump’s version of locker-room talk?”

The quarterback bootlegged from the podium to the door. “Thank you, guys,” a smiling Brady responded. “Have a good day.”

Brady displayed a red “Make America Great Again” hat in his locker last season. Trump weighed in on Brady’s behalf against the NFL while on the campaign stump during the Deflategate saga.

“I support all my friends in everything they do,” the quarterback told Boston’s WEEI last year. “I think it’s pretty remarkable what he’s achieved in his life. You’re going from business, kind of an incredible businessman and then a TV star, and then getting into politics. It’s a pretty different career path. I think that is pretty remarkable.”

Brady returned from a four-game suspension to lead the New England Patriots past the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, passing for three touchdowns and 407 yards. To paraphrase Bill Belichick, Tom Brady appears from his non-answer answer that he’s on to Cincinnati. The Patriots host the Bengals on Sunday afternoon.
