Dan Marino became famous years ago for “taking care of the hands that took care” of him while pitching Isotoner gloves during the Christmas season. The tradition of highly paid quarterbacks giving to those they depend on for protection continues until this day.

However, a new generation of quarterback has come up with a twist to the tradition, which will leave his protectors more than capable of protecting themselves.

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz bought each of his offensive linemen a Beretta shotgun for Christmas, complete with their name engraved on the shotgun.

Fellow hunter and offensive lineman Allen Barbre told ESPN, “This is an awesome gun. I’m excited about it. I don’t know if I’ll shoot it, though. It’s pretty nice.”

Carson Wentz is an avid hunter, who frequently talks about bird hunting with his golden retriever. The Eagles offseason will begin after this weekend, given that the team did not qualify for the playoffs. So, the Eagles offensive line can soon begin familiarizing themselves with their new presents.

Isaac Seumalo told ESPN, “I haven’t really held a gun or anything before. But I’m more than thankful for it. It looks sweet. Carson said he’d teach me how to use it and all that good stuff.”
