Angry Fan Eggs Chargers Training Facility After Team Announces Move to Los Angeles

San Diego Chargers fans will lose their team to Los Angeles

A San Diego Chargers fan, so angry at his favorite team for abandoning his city and moving to Los Angeles, decided to take his frustrations out on the team’s training facility by throwing raw eggs at the place. And he made a video of his protest to prove it.

Yesterday, the Chargers made it official that after 56 years in San Diego, they will move to a new stadium in Los Angeles by the start of the 2017 season. The move comes after failing to make a new stadium deal at the team’s current, long-time home.

The now ex-Bolts fan Dan Wellington became so incensed over the news that he wanted an outlet for his ire. Ultimately he decided he had “a dozen reasons” to protest the team’s move, and brought along a carton of eggs with which to pelt the edifice of the Charger’s training facility.

In an expletive-laden video, Wellington slammed Chargers owner Dean Spanos for making the move, complaining it is just about the money, to spite the fans. Wellington also insisted that the move won’t make the Chargers any new fans and that L.A. residents “don’t want that mess up there.”

He also said he was aware he might face trouble with the law for the vandalism, but he didn’t care.

Before throwing the eggs, though, Wellington did promise to clean up the mess himself.
