New York Jets Christian Hackenberg Might be Worst Quarterback Ever

If the New York Jets are truly tanking to tank, and lose as much as possible in order to draft USC’s Sam Darnold in 2018, then current Jets quarterback Christian Hackenberg just might be the guy to make it happen for them.

According to Connor Hughes of NJ.com, Hackenberg hasn’t just been missing his receivers in practice, he’s also been hitting the media.

Hughes writes, “When Hackenberg misses he really misses. He threw just two interceptions in team drills, but nearly tossed six others. And I’m not talking about a receiver falling down. I’m saying the defender just dropped the ball.

“Other times, the wideout/running back/tight end was wide open, and Hackenberg sailed it over his head or bounced it to him. That can’t happen. In the three media-open OTAs, Hackenberg hit reporters with passes twice.”

Now, of course, the possibility remains that Hackenberg’s poor performance is an attempt to force the Jets to trade him. After all, there’s nothing in Hackenberg’s history at Penn State which explains him suddenly forgetting how to throw a football.

However, unfortunately for him, the Jets actually want to stink this year, which probably means Hackenberg will sit tight.

Tim Tebow is still technically available. Even he never hit reporters with the football. At least he would help the Jets sell seats to what promises to be a no good, very bad season.

Just saying.
