With a result so unsurprising that one wonders why the question was asked in the first place, a new poll reveals that most Californians disagree with how President Trump handled the NFL protests.

A USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll, found that 57% of Californians disagreed with President Trump’s handling of the protests. While only 18 percent of respondents said that the president handled the issue well.

An interesting result a little deeper in the poll, centered around what Californians though of the protests in general. According to the poll, 38 percent of Californians opposed the protests, compared to 33 percent who support them. That is a stunning result. If there are more people opposed to the anthem protests than there are in favor, in the liberal paradise of California, that gives you a real idea of just how wildly unpopular these anthem protests have become.

The poll also found that three-quarters of Republicans strongly oppose the protests.

President Trump made waves in late September when he called protesting NFL players “SOB’s,” and said he wished their team owners would fire them.

The survey was conducted among 1,504 voters in California from Oct. 27 to Nov. 6. The margin of error is plus or minus three percent.
