In his first season with the Owls, Addazio went 9-4 and won the New Mexico Bowl."Steve Addazio brings three critical traits to Boston College football," Eagles athletic director Brad Bates says. "First, he genuinely cares about his students and will facilitate their formation and development in meaningful ways that creates a family culture extending into the entire BC community. Second, he has a passion that is contagious and an energy that will motivate those fortunate to meet him."Finally, he is a proven winner with an extensive history of success."Addazio, 53, replaces Frank Spaziani, who was fired after four seasons as head coach and 16 overall at BC. Spaziani went 22-29 with the Eagles."Steve Addazio has done a tremendous job with Temple football in his two years at the university, and we wish him nothing but the best," Temple athletic director Bill Bradshaw said.
