PM meets Yemeni-Bulgarian Joint Technical Committee members

SANA'A, Dec. 15 (Saba) - Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa met here on Saturday with Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism and Head of the Bulgarian side at the Yemeni-Bulgarian Joint Technical Committee Ivo Marinov.
Basindwa was briefed by Marinov and head of the Yemeni side at the committee Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Muhsen al-Naqib on the committee's meeting's agenda that includes the joint cooperation in areas of development, economy, military, security, culture, tourism, commerce, power, transport and gas.
The Prime Minister urged the joint committee to give priority to the economic and investment cooperation, and to find mechanisms to stimulate Bulgarian companies to invest in Yemen, pointing to the need to benefit from the Bulgarian experience in medical area and to hospitalize some of Yemeni youths wounded due to the last year crisis.
The Bulgarian official indicated to the various available opportunities to improve the Yemeni-Bulgarian economic and development cooperation, saying the two sides would discuss the possibility of establishing a factory for military and civilian wear and security protection equipments.
Marinov asserted that his country would continue to support Yemen either bilaterally or via the European Union.
