Foreign Minister meets US peace envoy

Amman, Jan. 8 (Petra) -- Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Tuesday met with U.S. Peace Envoy David Hale and discussed the latest regional developments.
The two officials also discussed means to breathe life into the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis to realize the two-state solution and establish a viable and independent Palestinian state on the national soil.
Achieving peace, Judeh said, is a top Jordanian interest.
Hale, on his part, said that the U.S. is committed to exerting all needed efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East. He reiterated the key role played by Jordan in this regard.
