Srour meets Palestinian lawmaker

Amman, Feb. 18 (Petra)--Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Saad Hayel Srour received a letter from Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Aziz Duweik congratulating Srour on his elections as House speaker.
The message was conveyed to Srour by member of the PLC Mohammad Faraj Al Ghoul.
Srous said Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, backs the Palestinian brethren and exert intensive efforts to arrive at a just and permanent solution to the Palestinian issue that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Palestinian lawmaker hailed Jordan's support to the Palestinians and their just cause.
Talks during the meeting also dealt with issues of common interest as well as the Syrian crisis.
