Mohammed bin Rashid inaugurates GITEX Technology Week


WAM DUBAI, 20th October, 2013 (WAM) -- Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has said that Dubai is in a race against time to get to what is needed to become a smart city, to make people happy, provide them with an easy life, aid communication with each other and enable government agencies to facilitate processes and reduce the burden of movement between government departments for service.



His Highness Sheikh Mohammed made his remarks during a tour of GITEX Technology Week, which was inaugurated by His Highness today at the Dubai World Trade Centre.



H.H. said, "Dubai is on its way to transition to a fully smart city, expressing his confidence in the imminent transformation of the U.A.E. to a smart country in the foreseeable future, to provide maximum facilities to citizens and residents of our dear land." WAM/MZ/CM
