Jordan's efforts lead to reopening of the Al Aqsa Mosque

Amman, Oct. 30 (Petra) State Minister for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammad Momani said that Jordan’s efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, led to the reopening of the Al Aqsa Mosque for prayers as of Friday.

Momamni, who is also the government’s spokesperson told Petra that the directives of His Majesty to the government and the firm message to the international community on the need not to tamper with the Al Aqsa Mosque and on the Israeli unilateral actions, resulted in the reopening of the mosque.

The minister said that all options are open for Jordan to take the necessary measures to prevent the repeated Israeli violations against the Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem through rallying international support and resorting to the UN Security Council.
