NATO strike at militants hurts 8 civilians

GHAZNI, Afghanistan, March 30 (UPI) --
At least eight civilians were injured Saturday in a NATO air strike in eastern Afghanistan's Ghazni province that targeted Taliban militants, officials said.

Five men, two women and a child were hospitalized in the village of Espand-De in eastern Ghazni city, Khaama Press reported.

Coalition forces had targeted militants in an air raid that lasted about an hour, said Ahmad Wali, a hospital official.

A number of Taliban militants were killed in the attack, he said.
