3 bodies found in missing plane search

DARWIN, Australia, April 2 (UPI) --
Three bodies have been found during a search for a plane that went missing Tuesday in Australia, police said.

The pilot, Stuart Sceney, 45, sent a radio message about bad weather Monday and the plane never reached its destination, the Australian Broadcasting Corp. said.

Sceney was on the plane with his wife, Karmi Dunn, 53, and his two daughters, 15 and 12.

The Australian broadcaster said the family took off from a remote cattle station, Bullo River Station, and were headed for Darwin.

Search and rescue crews were searching a 1,118-square- mile area, the Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported.

Authorities found a female body believed to be Dunn late Tuesday afternoon, and later found two more bodies, which the forensic team has not yet identified.
