TEL AVIV – Pro-Palestinian activists at the University of California, Irvine, have been put on disciplinary probation for two academic years over disrupting an event hosted by a pro-Israel campus group by chanting anti-Israel slurs.

Last week, a group of pro-Palestinian students disrupted a panel discussion at University of California, Irvine of Israeli Defense Force (IDF) reservists who were fielding questions from students interested in hearing the Israeli perspective on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Thursday, Democratic and Republicans leaders in both the House and Senate introduced legislation that would penalize foreign countries and international governmental organizations that seek to engage in the boycott, divest and sanction (BDS) movement against Israel.

A first-of-its-kind bill opposing boycotts of Israel, introduced by Assemblyman Travis Allen (R-Huntington Beach), has been held up in California’s Democratic-controlled state legislature for nearly three months. Now, the state’s Jewish Caucus has introduced a highly similar bill by Assemblyman Richard Bloom (D-Santa Monica).
