Erdogan Calls Israeli Self-Defense Against Gaza Riots An ‘Inhuman Attack’

ANKARA, Turkey — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday criticized Israel for what he called its “inhumane attack” in Gaza after mass protests and clashes on Friday along the security fence led to the deaths of 16 Palestinians. The IDF said Saturday that at least 10 of those killed were members of Palestinian terror groups including Hamas.

Five Code Red Sirens Sound in Israeli Communities Near Gaza

Five Code Red rocket alert sirens were sounded in the Eshkol Regional Council in southern Israel on Monday night. The first siren sounded at 1:48 am, followed by four other sirens at 2:54 am, 4:14 am, 4:51 am and 5:03 am. There were no reports of injuries or damage and no rocket remains were found on the ground.

Israeli Soldier Injured by Gunfire at Egypt Border

An Israeli soldier was lightly injured when an army vehicle traveling along the border with Egypt came under fire early Monday morning, the army said. The soldier was taken to the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba for treatment.
