Prosecutors in Travis County, Austin, Texas, charged three protesters affiliated with the leftist anti-government effort known as Antifa with looting a Target store. The alleged looting by the anarchists occurred during George Floyd protests on May 31 in the Texas capital city.

ICE Rounds Up 44 Criminal Aliens in Texas Capital

Enforcement actions underway in Texas as part of the nationwide Operation Cross Check have landed 44 criminal aliens in federal detention this week. While the ICE spokesperson would not confirm or deny the operation, U.S. Representative Joaquin Castro confirmed the arrests underway in Austin and throughout South and Central Texas are part of Operation Crosscheck.

Police in Austin, Texas, responded to a report of a man with a knife near the University of Texas campus. At least one person was stabbed and a second person was injured with an undisclosed injury.

In an analysis that compared the 50 state capitals to identify which combines the best in “affordability, a strong economy, high education standards, and overall excellent quality of life,” Hartford, Connecticut was rated the worst U.S. state capital with a capital index score of 39.47.
