The problem with this is that the Clackamas gunman stole his gun—so no amount of gun control would have stopped him—and his attack was stopped by a concealed carry permit holder who was armed in the mall.

They present the checks as the same kind of background checks required at Oregon gun shows “since 2000,” even though they admit the background checks at gun shows didn’t really stamp out private sales.
