Obama Meets Netanyahu: Calls Iran Nuclear Deal A ’Narrow Issue’ Of Disagreement

“It’s no secret the Prime Minister and I have had a strong disagreement on this narrow issue, but we don’t have a disagreement on the need to making sure Iran does not get a nuclear weapon and we don’t have a disagreement about us blunting destabilizing activities in Iran that may be taking place,” Obama said to reporters during the meeting in the Oval Office of the White House.

Obama’s DHS Plans Work-Permit Give-Away to Foreign Professionals

The Department of Homeland Security is officially disavowing the agency’s June memo that urged U.S. employers be given the ability to quickly hire in-country foreign professionals and foreign graduates instead of job-seeking American millennials. But agency officials are working on another memo on the same topic, said Todd Breasseale, the department’s acting Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs.

Chris Christie Announces Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

President Obama is scheduled to make an appearance in Newark, New Jersey Monday to discuss the “cycle of incarceration.” Meanwhile, Gov. Christie offered a bit of counter-programming Monday morning in Camden, NJ when he announced the creation of an annual law enforcement appreciation day in the state.

Chris Christie To Obama: Nice Of You To Show Up

President Obama plans to stop by the Integrity House in Newark, N.J., to press for criminal justice reform for non-violent drug offenders. The Integrity House is a halfway house and drug-treatment center for criminals. “Nice of you to show up,” notes Governor Chris Christie, who has spent a large part of his two terms in New Jersey pushing for criminal justice reform and drug addiction treatment.
