Venezuela Runs Out of Birth Control

Venezuela’s socialist government has run the OPEC nation’s economy to the group, prompting shortages of goods as varied as toilet paper, coffin materials, beer, and water. The shortage has now hit pharmacies, with most pharmacies having completely run out of most forms of contraceptives, particularly birth control pills.

Cosmo Reports on Death by Contraceptive Pill

Despite Planned Parenthood’s best efforts to downplay the dangers of birth control pills, even some of its allies occasionally go off script. In an unusual article this week, Cosmopolitan magazine covered the gruesome death of a 21-year-old Australian woman named Fallan Kurek who reportedly died from taking birth control pills for only 25 days.
