On Thursday, the FAA temporarily banned flights below 2000 feet over the northwest San Fernando Valley. The no-fly zone was imposed because of a fear that flights could ignite a gas leak initially discovered in October over Porter Ranch.

The U.S. Navy fired a test missile over Southern California on Saturday night, startling millions of residents for hundreds of miles, as a military exercise also diverted the path of flights to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Reports have surfaced that Saudia, Saudi Arabia’s national airlines, will begin segregating men and women on flights after male passengers complained of having other males sitting next to their female relatives. Saudi officials have since denied the report, however.
