Trump DOJ Urges Court to End Texas Voter ID Lawsuit

The Trump Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a pleading Wednesday saying the judge should take no more action in the voter ID lawsuit against Texas because the State’s new law “eradicates any discriminatory effect or intent” of the prior law. Moreover, the new law is “constitutionally and legally valid.”

Obama Judge: Texas Must Reprint Voter ID Training Materials

The Obama appointee presiding over the Texas voter photo ID lawsuit ordered the State to toss some of its voter education materials because federal lawyers did not like the exact language in printed. Although lawyers for the State gave the DOJ and liberal voting rights groups a copy of the proposed language on August 11, they waited until less than 60 days before the November election to complain. This was after financial and other resources had been expended by the State.

Illegal Immigrant Brags About Getting Free Ride to UT

A student who is an illegal immigrant has received a great deal of pushback for bragging about getting an all tuition paid free ride to the University of Texas. She not only took to Twitter to blow her own horn about her self-accessed “nice legs” and her “13 cords/medals,” “4.5GPA” and Valedictorian status at Crockett High School, she also had to add, “oh and I’m undocumented.”

Rick Perry Battles at Texas Court of Criminal Appeals

Former Governor Rick Perry and his legal team were at the state’s highest criminal court on Wednesday morning arguing that the remaining count against him (abuse of official capacity) should be dismissed. A special prosecutor argued that a second count (coercion of a public servant) dismissed by an immediate court of appeals should be reinstated.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott was interviewed by Sean Hannity and the nationally syndicated radio talk show host told Abbott – “Good job in Texas, I’ll tell you that!” Hannity commended Abbott for his tough stance on sanctuary cities, his lawsuit against the Obama administration’s amnesty program, and putting a halt to Obama’s amnesty during his tenure as President. The talk show host also asked the Texas Governor who he was supporting as President.

2016 Contenders Perry, Huckabee and Fiorina Criticize Obama’s Deal With Iran

As previous reported by Breitbart News, the agreement allows Iran to retain its enrichment facility at an underground bunker. It also allows Iran to maintain a small amount of enriched uranium, and will offer the regime sanctions relief as soon as it can show it is keeping its end of the bargain. As to information about possible military dimensions of Iran’s program, there is nothing but an agreement to talk further.
