Lopez-Sanchez confessed to killing 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle on July 1, though he has pleaded not guilty.

Darron Delon Dennis Wint, a Guyana native accused of the gruesome multiple murders on May 14 of a Washington, D.C. couple, their 10-year-old son, and the housekeeper, will be taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) once he is released from jail, where he has been ordered confined by a judge.

Woman Allegedly Attempted Suicide in Texas Immigration Detention Facility

A 19-year-old immigrant at a family detention facility is reported to have attempted to commit suicide after being told she was being denied parole and asylum. She was staying in the Karnes City, Texas, facility which was opened last year after a flood of unaccompanied minors and families crossed the border illegally. Another facility in Dilley, Texas, also had to be opened.

Some aliens, including legal immigrants who commit removable offenses, are released by the federal government into U.S. communities under the Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP) while awaiting a final disposition on their removal cases. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) now admits it no longer tracks some of the foreign national in the program who have been released into U.S. communities.

Nearly 5,000 members of the hyper-violent MS-13 gang have been arrested in the United States since 2005 according to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) statement released on Wednesday. The arrest occurred as part of “Operation Community Shield” which paired Homeland Security agents with other federal law agencies, state county and even city police targeting gang members. The numbers are staggering. 36,000 total arrests linking to 2,600 gangs. 46 were repeat violent offenders, and more than 6,600 firearms taken off the streets.

Nearly 1,000 Gang Members with Ties to ‘Transnational Criminal’ Groups Arrested across US

An operation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents across the United States has landed 976 gang members and associates with ties to transnational criminal gangs have been arrested in an operation named Project Wildfire. The arrests took place in 282 cities across the U.S. during a six-week period. The targets of the sweep were people affiliated with transnational criminal gangs or other transnational criminal activities.

The latest in a long series of sophisticated cross-border smuggling tunnels has been discovered and seized in Tijuana, Mexico. Mexican police found the sub-surface project on Tuesday in a house adjacent to the Tijuana airport. Though it measured more than 500 feet long, it was still short of the US border.

Texas House Remembers Man Slain by Illegal Alien

AUSTIN, Texas – Legislators from the Texas State House of Representatives, took to their chairs and were quiet on Monday, taking the time to remember Spencer Golvach. Golvach was randomly gunned down in late January by an illegal alien who had been deported numerous times. Representatives Debbie Riddle (R-Houston) and Patricia Harless (R-Houston) filed a House Resolution honoring the man’s life. The House members expressed their unanimous adoption of the memorial resolution by standing.
