Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles Draws Mainstream Media Attention in Mexico

Two of the most respected independent publications in Mexico have acknowledged the effort made by Breitbart Texas to recruit citizen journalists in order to report on the daily violence along the Mexican northern border in a series called Cartel Chronicles. Mexico’s Proceso Magazine and Sin Embargo.mx have recently both published stories about the efforts made by Breitbart Texas to shed light on the escalating violence in the northern part of the country which is hardly ever reported by Mexican local news outlets since drug cartels and Mexican politicians have a history of silencing them.

Breitbart Texas Sponsors National Border Patrol Council’s ‘The Green Line’ Podcast

Breitbart Texas announced it’s sponsorship of a podcast hosted by the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC). The purpose of the podcast, titled “The Green Line,” is to improve communications to its nearly 17,000 non-supervisory Border Patrol agents. Breitbart News Co-Founder Larry Solov and Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby and reporter Ildefonso Ortiz traveled to Phoenix to meet with the Border Patrol union officials and launch this effort to support the agents who put their lives on the line to protect the sovereignty of this country.

Massive Mexican Protests Continue Over Missing Students

The disappearance of forty-three Mexican college students on September 26th has led to a period of protests from parents who have had enough. On that night, uniformed police officers in the city of Igualá opened fire on five busses of
