Dallas County Votes to ‘End Nonessential Collaborations’ with ICE

On the same day that the Texas State Senate voted to cut funds for sanctuary cities, the commissioners court of Dallas County passed the “Welcoming Communities” resolution. Texas Governor’s Address Sets Four State Emergency Priorities

Santa Fe Leaders Narrowly Defeat Resolution Rejecting Trump Wall

The Santa Fe City Council narrowly failed to pass a controversial resolution that denounced many of the policies of the incoming presidential administration and would have defiantly resolved that the City would “continue to be a sanctuary city.” The resolution also expressly rejected the idea of building a wall at the U.S.-Mexico Border, and mentioned President-Elect Donald Trump by name. The vote was 4-4 with one abstention.

Feds Admit To Putting Migrants on Planes for U.S. Destinations

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have admitted that they are not only releasing illegal immigrants at bus stations, they are also “identify[ing]” and transporting them to airports for travel to various destinations within the country. Maricopa County Sheriff Arpaio, the tough-on-border issues sheriff in Arizona who sued President Obama for his executive order on amnesty, has been the target of a war by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). He has faced civil contempt of court charges for allegedly profiling illegal aliens; now he faces criminal contempt charges for violating a court order.
