7th Circuit Court: Illegal Immigrants Have Second Amendment Rights Too

In a case regarding a specific gun control law which bans “unauthorized aliens” (illegal immigrants) from possessing firearms in the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit did the work of a contortionist by upholding the law while also pointing out that they “see no principled way to carve out the Second Amendment and say that the unauthorized (or maybe all noncitizens) are excluded.”

DHS Watchdog Unable To Verify Total Illegal Amnesties Issued After Injunction

A DHS Inspector General audit released Thursday did not find any evidence that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services deliberately violated U.S. District Court Judge Andrew Hanen’s executive amnesty injunction when it continued to issue prohibited three-year work permits to illegal immigrants granted deferred action, as opposed to the acceptable two-year permits.

Amnesty Group Warns Senate Dems Against Targeting Sanctuary Cities

The group, Presente.org, names Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Barbara Boxer (D-CA), and Dick Durbin (D-IL) as its primary Democrats of concern after those lawmakers signaled support for introducing legislation targeting sanctuary cities. Feinstein and Boxer are reportedly working on legislation to that end.
