French Prime Minister: 10,000 Europeans Could Be Waging Jihad By End of Year

The Islamic State’s recruiting efforts have long been a source of grave concern to Western governments, but the situation in Europe is growing steadily worse according to French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, who warned on Sunday that up to ten thousand Europeans could be fighting the jihad in Iraq and Syria by the end of the year.

Report: ISIS Has Over 46,000 Twitter Accounts

A new study from the Brookings Institution, presented as the largest study of the Islamic State’s (ISIS) notoriously effective social media outreach via Twitter, found that as of fall 2014, supporters of the terror state had over 46,000 accounts, with about twenty percent of the tweets in English.

ISIS Hangs Eight in Gruesome Display Before Entrance to Iraqi City

DAILY MAIL: Eight dead bodies hang from a metal frame in the Iraq’s Kirkuk province in Islamic State’s latest public display of barbarity. The gruesome images which emerged on social media show the men’s limp bodies suspended from their feet off a tall structure in the town of Hawija. The notorious black flag used by Islamist groups like ISIS is displayed above them as horrified onlookers inspect the scene. Some of the deceased men appear to be wearing military fatigues but it is not known if they were Iraqi soldiers.

Syrian Christians Plead for Help as ISIS Launches New Attack

Syrian Christians have this morning put out a desperate appeal for help as ISIS launches new attacks against them along the Khabour River in northeast Syria. According to Rima Tüzün of the European Syriac Union, members of the community who have taken up arms to defend themselves are without ammunition, and 17 Syriac Military Council fighters are surrounded by ISIS in the town of Tel Maghasneh.
