Rumors Of Death, Paralysis Surround The Fate of ISIS Leader Baghdadi

Several conflicting reports have surfaced about the fate of the Islamic State’s self- declared “Caliph” Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, who is believed to have been severely injured in a recent U.S. airstrike. Over the weekend and into Monday, reports have stated that Baghdadi’s health status varies from deceased, to complete paralysis, to only having sustained minor injuries.

Turkish Mayor Builds Mini-Mecca Theme Park

Hurriyet Daily News has an odd little story from the Uskudar district of Istanbul, where the mayor has constructed a miniature replica of Mecca, Islam’s holy city. It is essentially a theme park of Mohammed’s life and times, with replicas of “the Kaaba, Prophet Mohammad’s house, the Hira cave, the Sevr cave, the Muallaq Stone, the Zamzam well and an elephant statue.”

In the most recent example of a new global trend where Muslim radicals drive their vehicles into unsuspecting civilians, seeking to murder innocents with their automobiles (a practice that has been coined “vehicular jihad”), a Palestinian man who drove his car into civilians waiting at a Jerusalem bus top told police that he was “seeking out Jews to murder.”

Australia, Iran Sign Intelligence Sharing Accord

Australia and Iran have reached an agreement that allows for the two nations to share intelligence regarding the fight against Sunni jihadists in the Middle East, Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop announced over the weekend.
