Col. Kemp: Media Encourage Terrorists to Use Human Shields in War

JERUSALEM, Israel — Col. Richard Kemp, former commander of British forces in Afghanistan, told a legal conference that the Western media have encouraged terrorists to use human shields in war by focusing attention on civilian casualties in such a way that Western military forces were effectively deterred from responding to terrorist attacks. He suggested that legal doctrines might need to be adjusted in order to remove the operational advantage human shields provide terrorists.

On Saturday at South Carolina Republican Party’s annual convention, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who recently won two straw polls in two of South Carolina’s biggest counties, forcefully attacked big business for its collusion with the Democratic Party in attacking Indiana’s religious liberty law. He also slammed the Obama administration for its intrusion on Americans’s liberty.

Israel Leading International Efforts to Treat Victims of Deadly Nepal Earthquake

Israel, a country of only 8 million people, has the second largest foreign volunteer force (behind India) in assisting Nepalese victims of Saturday’s 7.8 magnitude earthquake. Blue State Blues: Israel Is a Failed Socialism’s Great Success

TEL AVIV — May 1 is still a significant day in Israel. There are marches through the center of Tel Aviv celebrating May Day and the solidarity of the international working class. (The international working class has shown considerably less interest in solidarity with Israel, but never mind.) Today, Israel is more “start-up nation” than workers’ paradise, known more for the entrepreneurship of its Internet millionaires than for the power of its labor unions or the collectivism of the kibbutz.

Watchdog Groups Call for Protection of Jewish Students Following Swastika ‘Hate Crime’ at Stanford

Twenty-six anti-Semitism watchdog groups issued a joint letter to Stanford University President John Hennessy, lauding him for condemning the vandalism of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house which was defaced with swastikas this past weekend, and imploring him to take additional steps to protect Jewish students on campus; particularly with the rise of antisemitism throughout many college campuses in California and especially through the strengthening of BDS (boycott, divestment and sanctions) movements targeting Israel.

Turkish Pride in the Armenian Genocide

As if on safari, the hunters proudly display their dead prey. But the circa 1915 photograph depicts an undeniable horror. The hunters flank a dozen or so human bodies, laid out upon a dirt mound. The distinctive hunters’ uniforms identify them as Turkish soldiers of the Ottoman Empire; their victims are Armenian Christians.

Berlin To Host Pro-Hamas Conference Days After Israel Independence Day

A pro-Hamas conference is slated to take place in Germany next weekend, just days after Israel celebrated its 67th year of independence as a Jewish state. The Berlin conference has come under fire from human rights supporters because Hamas, which openly seeks the annihilation of Israel and the Jewish people, shares anti-Semitic goals that were also commonly expressed by Nazi Germany.

Muslims, Christians, and Jews Celebrate Zionism in New Orleans

Earlier this month, over 1,000 students gathered on the campus of Tulane University in New Orleans to celebrate Zionism. Defined as “the national movement for the return of the Jewish people to their homeland and the resumption of Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel,” the term has been hijacked in recent years by anti-Israel advocates who have attempted to redefine Zionism as racism.

Palestinian Terrorist Was ‘Seeking Out Jews’ in Vehicular Jihad Attack

In the most recent example of a new global trend where Muslim radicals drive their vehicles into unsuspecting civilians, seeking to murder innocents with their automobiles (a practice that has been coined “vehicular jihad”), a Palestinian man who drove his car into civilians waiting at a Jerusalem bus top told police that he was “seeking out Jews to murder.”
