Conor McGregor went one for one on Saturday night. He hit Jose Aldo in the chin once in his featherweight championship bout at UFC 194. That ended the champ’s night—and his title run.

“This is the biggest fight ever in the history of the featherweight division,” Dana White told Breitbart Sports about UFC 194’s main event, albeit back when the fight looked to headline UFC 189.

Conor McGregor does not face UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo until December 12. But the timing failed to stop King Conor from unveiling a grand plan for his title reign on the UFC 194 conference call.

The UFC announced that Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo will finally fight—just in time for Christmas.

Breitbart Sports asked former UFC greats Bas Rutten, Matt Hughes, and Frank Trigg what current fighters remind them of themselves on the conference call for their induction this weekend into the promotion’s Hall of Fame.

“You could say it’s all his mouth but the guy does have skills,” Chad Mendes told Breitbart Sports about Conor McGregor this spring. “His standup is crisp. He’s a southpaw. He’s long. He’s lanky. His style is exciting to watch.”

“When you look into a man’s eyes—look him dead in the eye—you can see straight into his soul,” Conor McGregor maintained on the UFC 189 conference call last week. McGregor said that when he looked into Jose Aldo’s eyes, the Brazilian’s soul informed him: “This mother—er doesn’t want to be here.”

“Four minutes into the first round he will be unconscious,” Conor McGregor promises of his UFC 189 opponent. Chad Mendes vows to end McGregor’s night a minute earlier.

“We’re going to start trying to control the uncontrollable,” UFC President Dana White told Breitbart Sports this spring regarding injuries derailing cards. The remarks ironically came backstage at a presser promoting UFC 189, whose main event appears in jeopardy after a rib injury to featherweight champion Jose Aldo.

Conor McGregor-Jose Aldo, perhaps the most aggressively marketed fight in UFC history, almost ended with a whimper before either featherweight could end it with a bang.

One of the most popular champions in UFC history says that the promotion’s deal with Reebok will hurt most fighters in the organization.

Jose Aldo picks Chad Mendes to beat Ricardo Lamas on Saturday. Chad Mendes picks Jose Aldo to beat Conor McGregor this July. “But, for whatever reason, if Conor wins, I’d like to get in there and beat the crap out of that guy to take the belt,” Mendes tells Breitbart Sports.

UFC President Dana White tells Breitbart Sports that “everybody’s a f—ing genius” when it comes to running your affairs by remote.

Two years ago, “Conor McGregor” appeared on an Irish welfare check. Today, the name graces a Las Vegas marquee.

A stoic Jose Aldo appears indifferent to the antics of upcoming opponent Conor McGregor. Fight fans, on the other hand, are anything but indifferent.

Conor McGregor gave Dennis Siver the finger to start their fight. He gave him his fist to end it.

“Tell Jose I want that belt spit-shined when he comes to Ireland,” featherweight Conor McGregor shouted at his open-workout on Thursday.
