Watch: Crowd Tackles Armed Man at Protest in Texas

Police and protesters teamed up to tackle an armed man who showed up across the street from a George Floyd protest in Lubbock, Texas. The man appeared to be brandishing a semi-automatic rifle in a threatening manner before he dropped the weapon on the sidewalk.

4 Texas Tech Students Safe After Brussels Attacks, Belgium ‘Study Abroad’ Program Halted

Four Texas Tech University students were found safe in the Belgian capital of Brussels following Tuesday’s explosions in the city’s airport and metro station. The Islamic State claimed credit for the terror attacks, which killed at least 30 people and wounded 230 others. In response to this crisis, the university decided to halt their study abroad program in Belgium.

Texas Private School Superintendent Wins National Honor

Lubbock Christian School (LCS) Superintendent Peter Dahlstrom has been named the 2015 recipient of the Vaughn Luster Award, as the outstanding administrator of a member school of the National Christian School Association (NCSA). LCS is the oldest private school in the greater Lubbock area.
