Hundreds of mostly African migrants crossing into the United States from Mexico near Lukeville, Arizona, on Tuesday evening were hoping to find Border Patrol agents to surrender to. The migrants, hoping to gain release into the United States to pursue asylum claims, were instead greeted by Customs and Border Protection Officers whose traditional duties are to facilitate legitimate trade and travel at a nearby port of entry that the Biden Administration shut down in response to the surge in illegal crossings.

A warning sign has been placed at the entrance of the Organ Pipe National Monument area, recommending tourists refrain from entering the area due to ongoing Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operations. Nearby, the town of Lukeville is completely shut down and void of human presence. At the same time, Breitbart Texas witnessed a constant flow of mostly African migrants crossing the border wall and walking through the Organ Pipe National Monument, hoping to secure their freedom in the United States on Tuesday evening.

Nearly 1,000 migrants braved near-freezing temperatures in the Arizona desert near Lukeville after crossing the border wall and waiting to be processed by the Border Patrol. With most border facilities facing overcrowding and limited transportation resources to serve the remote area, many migrants are spending days sleeping in the desert, hoping to gain their freedom into the United States to pursue asylum claims.

Biden Admin Deploys Elite Border Patrol Units to ‘Babysit’ Arizona Migrant Camp

Members of the elite Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) and the highly trained rescue unit (BORSTAR) have been deployed to assist in keeping the peace and providing much-needed medical care as hundreds of migrants brave the frigid desert temperatures near Lukeville, Arizona. The migrants are detained in the outdoor camp as they await transportation to a Border Patrol processing facility.

In what Border Patrol agents describe as a daily event, more than 300 mostly West African migrants walked through drainage gates in the border wall several miles west of Lukeville, Arizona. The group contained around forty migrants from Peru, India, Ecuador, and several Middle Eastern countries, according to Border Patrol agents who spoke to Breitbart Texas.
