Friday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough reacted to a New York Times story about Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, and his seeming lack of willingness to commit to winning an early primary

Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio Dominate 2016 Ad Spending

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Florida Senator Marco Rubio share a complicated political history, with Rubio a one-time protegé of Bush the younger. In the 2016 presidential race they share another distinction as the two candidates most dominating the airwaves with paid political ads.

Protestors hold placards challenging 'Obamacare' outside of the US Supreme Court on March 4, 2015 in Washington, DC. The US Supreme Court heard a second challenge to US President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act. The US Supreme Court faces a momentous case Wednesday on the sweeping health insurance reform law that President Barack Obama wants to leave as part of his legacy. The question before the court is whether the seven million people or more who subscribed via the government's website can obtain tax subsidies that make the coverage affordable.

ObamaCare Bailouts Blocked In Omnibus Bill, Cadillac Tax Delayed

The revolting $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill Republicans dumped on their astonished voters has one – possibly only one – bright spot: the bailout corridors for ObamaCare remain blocked. If Democrats were able to soak taxpayers to keep Obama’s health care disaster floating, they’d do it in a hot second.

Vegas Debate: No-Fly Zones, Regime Change, and Other Shattered Illusions

The interesting discussion is all on the Republican side, and there were some strong exchanges in Las Vegas. Contrary to Chris Christie’s dismissal of the debate over surveillance between Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio as so much senatorial jibber-jabber, there are serious questions of liberty, security, and privacy to discuss. (Having said that, Governor Christie’s tone will probably appeal to voters who want strong leadership and decisive action on national security, as will Donald Trump’s.)

Republican Debate Grades: Trump Actually Won This Time

Tonight’s Republican debate did little to shift the field. After tonight, Donald Trump will remain the frontrunner; Jeb Bush will continue to bring up the rear; John Kasich will continue to be the boil festering on the ass of the American public.

Cruz: Rubio’s Attacks Are ‘Alinsky-Like’

At Tuesday’s Republican presidential debate CNN’s Dana Bash asked Cruz about the attacks Rubio made regarding Cruz’s vote for the USA Freedom Act, which restricted the National Security Agency’s cellphone-tracking metadata program. Cruz argued that Rubio’s attacks on him are untrue.

Exclusive — Rand Paul: Debate Moderators Must Press Marco Rubio on Gang of Eight Amnesty Bill

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is calling on CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and the other debate moderators here this evening to actually ask Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) about the “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill he pushed with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Rubio, in multiple debates so far this election cycle, has not been asked even once about the bill—his only legislative accomplishment other than providing the 60th vote for Obamatrade’s Trade Promotion Authority (TPA)—during any debate. It remains to be seen if Blitzer will asks Rubio about his amnesty plan with Schumer.
