China Attacks U.S. Pet Food Company for Not Importing Chinese Ingredients

China’s official Communist Party newspaper, the People’s Daily, published a tirade this weekend against family-owned American pet food company The Honest Kitchen for advertising that it locally sources ingredients and does not use and Chinese products in its recipes.

Not content with squeezing an apology from Mercedes-Benz for the crime quoting the Dalai Lama on Instagram, China excoriated the automaker in an editorial at the Communist Party’s People’s Daily on Wednesday, comparing the Dalai Lama citation to quoting Hitler in an automobile ad.

CA Girl Who Saved Toddler Given Posthumous Hero Award

A 10-year-old girl from Lakeside, California, who died while saving the lives of two toddlers from being hit by a runaway car last February, was named as a posthumous recipient of the Carnegie medal for heroism, an award that is given to those who risk their lives to an extraordinary degree to save or attempt to save the lives of others.
