A Michigan State University (MSU) professor allegedly forced her 600 students to pay a $99 membership fee to join a leftist organization she allegedly controlled called The Rebellion Community, which supported Planned Parenthood amongst other causes, as a condition of participation in her class, according to a lawsuit filed by Alliance Defending Freedom.

Michigan State Says On-Campus Students Perform Better Than Off-Campus Peers

Michigan State University announced this week that students residing on campus are academically out-performing their off-campus peers. An analysis conducted by researchers at the university revealed that students living on campus graduate at a rate that is 2.5 percent higher than those that choose to live off-campus. As a result, Michigan State announced that incoming students will be required to live on campus for at least two years.

Michigan State Research VP Stephen Hsu Resigns After Pressure over Research on Intelligence

Michigan State University Vice President for Research and Innovations Stephen Hsu was forced to resign this week over his research on intelligence. Over 800 faculty members and students signed a petition that called on the university to remove Hsu from his position over his research. Although Hsu has been forced out of his VP position, he remains a member of the Michigan State faculty.

Students and faculty at Michigan State University are calling for the removal of Stephen Hsu, the university’s vice president for research and innovation, over his research on intelligence. Hsu has fired back at students and others calling for his dismissal: “The Twitter mobs want to suppress scientific work that they find objectionable. What is really at stake: academic freedom, open discussion of important ideas, scientific inquiry. All are imperiled and all must be defended.”

Michigan State U. Lists ‘Acceptable’ Names for Chinese Virus

Michigan State University is advising its students use only “acceptable” terminology when speaking about the Chinese virus, insisting that the Wuhan coronavirus must be referred to as the “novel coronavirus” or “COVID-19.” The school is also encouraging all students to sign a pledge entitled, “Hate Has No Home Here.”
