Trump-Russia Conspiracy Theories Slip from ‘Collusion’ to ‘Convergence’

Former CIA and NSA chief Michael Hayden handled the latest shifting of goalposts for the Trump-Russia conspiracy theory industry in an interview posted on Tuesday. Hayden conceded that “collusion” between Russia and the Trump 2016 campaign cannot yet be proven, so he lowered the bar to “convergence,” a far more nebulous accusation that requires no proof whatsoever.

Democrat Alabama nominee for U.S. Senate Doug Jones chose Thanksgiving Eve to use the names of seven women to attack Republican nominee Judge Roy Moore as “immoral” in a new ad that includes several women who have called their decades-old interactions with Moore consensual.

With the establishment media reeling from yet-another disastrous week of fake news debacles — here, here, here, here, and most especially here — a bubbling sexual harassment scandal, and the fact that they are fooling no one in their ongoing cover-up of the real Russian collusion scandal, President Trump set his Twitter feed on “humiliate” Sunday morning with the news that a plurality of Americans, a full 46 percent, now believe the media fabricate stories to damage him.

Narrative Fail: Plurality of 48% Approve of Trump’s Tax Plan; 45% Approve of Him

Despite a coordinated, full-court savaging throughout the national media, President Trump is showing a counter-intuitive resilience among actual voters — you know, those people who live in the real world outside the cable news bubble. In both the Rasmussen poll of likely voters and the latest Politico poll of voters, Trump’s job approval rating has jumped to a healthy 45 percent.
