A Washington Post article about the relocation of Planned Parenthood’s new flagship abortion clinic next door to Two Rivers Public Charter School indicates the school’s executive director appears concerned about the images of aborted babies her students could see on the signs of pro-life protesters. But no mention is made about concerns of the abortions going on inside.
The call to remove Sanger’s bust comes following the release of multiple undercover investigative videos, produced by the Center for Medical Progress, in which top Planned Parenthood medical officials explain their methods of harvesting the body parts of aborted babies for potential sale on the open market. Since the letter was published, more than 11,000 people have signed a petition calling for the removal of Sanger’s bust from the NPG.
National pro-life groups Students for Life of America (SFLA) and Pro-Life Future (PLF) will host a #WomenBetrayed rally and press conference in the nation’s capital on Thursday, September 10, to call attention to their claim that while Planned Parenthood touts it promotes “women’s healthcare,” it has actually betrayed women through its practices of harvesting the body parts of women’s aborted babies for potential sale on the open market, as revealed in undercover videos.
A national day of protest against Planned Parenthood will be held on Saturday, August 22 at Planned Parenthood facilities in over 320 cities across the nation as well as in five other countries.
“Today we learned of another life cut short by Planned Parenthood, a fully formed baby still intact with a heart still beating as technicians carve his little face in order to harvest a brain,” said Live Action president Lila Rose in a statement sent to Breitbart News. “It is difficult to even speak of such horror, and yet our nation allows and even funds these atrocities against our weakest children.”
Following the Senate’s failure to advance legislation to defund Planned Parenthood, largely along party lines, 53-46, the pro-life community reacted by vowing to press on with legislation that would defund the nation’s largest abortion provider.
In response to the video released this week about Planned Parenthood’s involvement in selling the organs and body parts of babies aborted in their clinics, SFLA – the largest pro-life organization of millennials in the nation – will be moving ahead against the abortion giant’s claim it is helping women by providing them with “healthcare.”
“The fact that Planned Parenthood performs upwards of 327,000 abortions a year is heartbreaking and barbaric enough on its own,” Rep. Diane Black said in a statement to Breitbart News. “The news that its employees engaged in the selling of aborted babies’ body parts is almost too much to bear and shows that Planned Parenthood’s disregard for innocent human life was even worse than we imagined.”
According to a press release containing some of Jindal’s prepared remarks, the Republican governor of Louisiana – which has been named as the most pro-life state in the nation – will blast the Republican Party “smart guys” for failing to adhere to a commitment to pro-life policies, portraying the pro-life base, instead, as a “distraction.”
