Thousands of Russians March in Honor of Slain Opposition Leader in Moscow

An opposition march in Moscow evolved into a memorial march for opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, who was gunned down blocks from the Kremlin on Friday. Thousands of Russians streamed through Moscow to show Russian President Vladimir Putin they are not afraid to voice their opinions and wish for a “Russia without Putin.” Images of the march flooded social media.

John Kerry Admits Russia Lied About Troops in Ukraine: ‘Propaganda Works’

Asked while providing congressional testimony whether Russia had lied to the public and the United States regarding whether its troops were present in Eastern Ukraine, Secretary of State John Kerry answered for the first time in the affirmative, implying that he had previously believed Moscow even though journalists provided evidence of Russians on the ground in almost every month of 2014.

Ukraine Doubts Russian Soldiers, Separatists Withdrawal of Weapons

The pro-Russian separatists in east Ukraine announced on their website they are withdrawing their military equipment from Debaltseve, Gorlovka, Donetsk, and Telman. Despite the declaration, Kiev has indicated officials believe these alleged withdrawals are a way to mask advancements in other cities.

The Russian propaganda machine is desperate to discredit Ukraine and will use anyone to achieve its goal. The latest victim is ex-porn star Sasha Grey, whose obituary was posted on Russian social media sites. The Ukrainian army, the post claimed, kidnapped, raped, and butchered her in revenge for her work nursing wounded pro-Russian soldiers.
