The Friend of My Enemy is My Enemy — Unless It’s Iran

While it is said the enemy of my enemy is my friend, what status then attaches to the friend of my enemy? If our enemy has a friend who opts to give him shelter and support as well as a mandate to do us harm, does not his friend qualify as our enemy? Apparently not when the friend of our enemy is Iran, a country where the ruling mullahs– in President Obama’s eyes, apparently– can do no wrong.

Turkish Muslim Cleric Issues Fatwa Allowing the Killing of ISIS Jihadists

Turkish Muslim televangelist Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü issued a fatwa to kill any militant associated with the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL). “If you run across them, slaughter them like you fight with the people of Ad and İrem [two places destroyed by God],” he wrote. “Those who kill them will be awarded and those who are killed by them will be martyrs.”

Kerry ‘Disturbed’ by Iranian Dictator’s Annihilationist Rhetoric

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said Tuesday that he is “disturbed” by the tone set by Iranian dictator Ali Khamenei in his speech over the weekend to commemorate the end of Ramadan, an Islamic holy month. In his address, the despotic ruler of the Islamic Republic called for the destruction of the state of Israel and asked fellow Muslims to resist the wishes of the “arrogant” world powers.

Report: Turkey Had Advance Warning on ISIS Suicide Bombing at Border

New details are emerging about Monday’s suicide bombing in southeastern Turkey, including the allegation that the Turkish government had intelligence warning about the attack. The explosion took place in the town of Suruc, which is across the border from the Syrian town of Kobani. Both towns are major centers for the region’s Kurdish minority.

ISIS Allegedly Kills 30 on Turkey-Syria Border

An explosion on Turkey’s border with Syria, allegedly executed by ISIS, killed at least 31 people on Monday. “We are concerned that the number of death will increase. The perpetrators will soon be found and put on trial,” Turkey’s interior minister said in a statement.
