Bikers and supporters of riders and the Constitution came from all over Texas to gather on the steps of the McLennan County courthouse in Waco, Texas. They were there to protest the injustices that have occurred on, and continued after, the May 17th shootings at the Twin Peaks restaurant. The armless goddess of divine law and justice stands atop the courthouse, her scales of justice removed by a bolt of lightning. This missing icon of justice says it all.

Former Gov. “The video showing a Planned Parenthood employee selling the body parts of aborted children is a disturbing reminder of the organization’s penchant for profiting off the tragedy of a destroyed human life,” said Perry in a statement provided to Breitbart News. “It is because of stories like this that I signed legislation defunding Planned Parenthood in the state of Texas – to protect human life and the health and safety of Texans.”

A McLennan County judge named a Waco police detective to serve as foreman over a newly-selected grand jury in Waco. The detective and this grand jury could end up presiding over the Twin Peaks biker cases.

In a statement provided to Breitbart News, Perry campaign manager Jeff Miller touted the collective fundraising efforts. “Americans are looking for a tested leader with an optimistic vision for the future, and we are pleased with the broad support Gov. Perry cited the additional personnel he had sent to the border as part of a surge operation last summer, and noted that these efforts resulted in a 74 percent decrease in apprehensions as fewer people dared try to cross. “Those are real results, not just rhetoric,” said Perry, who added that he knows that “securing the border is going to take a lot more than just building a wall,” including “personnel on the ground, aviation assets, quick response teams.”

One of the state district judges presiding over the Waco Twin Peaks bikers cases has reversed his decision to extend the term of a grand jury selected under the old method of selecting grand juries. The judge will now comply with a McLennan County, Texas, order that ends on July 8th, the much criticized practice of selecting “pick-a-pal” grand juries. So why is it that even today, so many black families feel left behind?” asked Perry, noting that African-Americans continued to economically lag behind other Americans. Democrats have long had the opportunity to govern in African-American communities. It is time to help black families hold them accountable for the results.

Elected leaders in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas say there’s no reason they have to immediately follow the Supreme Court ruling that gay marriage is legal nationwide—at least not if there’s a religious liberty exemption.

The Louisiana Clerks of Court Association advised clerks not to issue licenses for 25 days, during which time the Supreme Court could be petitioned for a rehearing. Same-sex marriages are also on hold in the state of Mississippi where Democrat attorney general Jim Hood said the Supreme Court’s decision would not go into effect in his state until the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals lifts a stay on its ruling from last year in which it struck down the state’s same-sex marriage ban.
