An Oregon congresswoman seems is angry that immigration officers contacted a suspect and asked him for identification. The man turned out to be a U.S. citizen and not the person they were searching for. The congresswoman is demanding answers from the responsible agency about what appears to be routine police work.

California’s Sanctuary Law Reckless, Dangerous, Says Sheriff’s Association

The move by the State of California to provide statewide sanctuary to illegal aliens is dangerous and reckless, says the National Sheriffs Association. The law signed by Governor Jerry Brown blocks police from inquiring about the immigration status of suspects or from assisting federal immigration officers in the performance of their duties.

2nd Man Charged for Deaths of 10 Illegal Aliens in Texas

Federal prosecutors obtained an indictment charging a second man for the deaths of 10 illegal immigrants while being smuggled in a hot 18-wheeler this summer. The Department of Justice (DOJ) also announced it is not seeking the death penalty in these cases.

Stiff Sentences Given for Five Human Smuggling Stash House Operators

Five men in the Rio Grande Valley received prison sentences ranging from 16 to 30 years each for their roles in a human smuggling stash house kidnapping scheme. The men stole the human cargo from a stash house and then demanded the victims call family members to pay a ransom for their release. Two other previously deported illegal aliens also received sentences in the case.

ICE Busts 32 Sex Offender Criminal Aliens in Sanctuary City

Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO) officers of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency arrested 32 criminal aliens previously convicted of sex crimes in the sanctuary jurisdiction of Long Island, New York. The arrests came during Operation SOAR (Sex Offender Alien Removal), a 10-day operation that ended on August 3.

15 Arrested During DACA Lawsuit Protest at Texas AG’s Office

Police arrested 15 protesters outside the office of the Texas Attorney General on Thursday. Organizers managed to draw only 50 people to demonstrate against the State’s new sanctuary city ban and General Ken Paxton’s threat to sue the federal government to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Open Borders Group Attacks Texas Cops for Calling ICE in Smuggling Deaths Case

An illegal immigrant advocacy group attacked the San Antonio Police Department for calling Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after they discovered a trailer full of dead and critically endangered illegal aliens early Sunday. The organization’s leader says the smuggling victims were further traumatized by the presence of ICE. She also blamed the deaths on the Trump Administration’s immigration policies.
